Pick-Up & Drop-Off Information

Safe Driving Reminders

Overall Safety Tips

  1. Do not park in the staff parking lot from the hours of 8:00-4:00.
  2. Obey the traffic signs that are posted throughout the school area. Avoid making three-point turns in the drop-off or pick-up areas.

  1. 1st , 2nd, and 3rd grade students, along with Mrs. Leone’s kindergarten class, will exit out the front of the school.
  2. Students in Mr. Morales’ kindergarten class will exit out door #9 by his classroom.
  3. The 4th and 5th grade students will exit at the south doors by the gym. They should be picked up on the west side of Windsor Drive.

Students should exit out of the door of the oldest child in that family. That will be their designated pick-up area.

  1. Students may be dropped off in the front of the school on Roxbury Ave., or in the back of the school on Windsor Drive.
  2. Do not pull into the circular drive on Pennsylvania Avenue. This area is reserved for bus drop-offs and pick-ups.
  3. Avoid double parking, as it is illegal and dangerous for the children.

When dropping of your student for breakfast in the morning, all students should enter through the front door on Roxbury, door #1. The door by the bus entrance is locked and students are waiting there, unattended. The office can buzz them in when they enter the front door.

From the Nurses' Office

We need to inform our Devonshire families that several of our students have food allergies with the most severe being an allergy to nuts along with certain other foods and food ingredients. We have at least one student in each grade level with some type of food allergy. We ask your cooperation in avoiding foods that may cause harm to any of our students. If you chose to send treats for any occasion, please check with your child's teacher beforehand. We also ask that any snacks be store purchased in order that the ingredients can be readily identified. If your child has an allergy to any other type of food, please suggest snacks that would be safe to serve in their classroom.

The nurse's office is looking for gently used pants for students that may need a change of clothes due to a lunch spill or wet weather. The office could also use winter coats for students that come to school not dressed properly for the cold weather.
